A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE
On behalf of the Australasian Federation of Traditional Karate and Kobudo, we extend our warmest welcome to our all who are visiting this website, whether it be as members, or simply passionate karateka or kobudoka (or both!) interested in the strong benefits the AFTK can provide to the martial arts community
Our organisation has been working hard for the past 20 years to deliver support to our members, and to the greater martial arts community. The AFTK exists to provide an opportunity for the various clubs and individual karateka and kobudoka to share training methods, applications and insights, and to provide a platform for learning through our seminars. We are a network of likeminded practitioners who strive to better our technique and understanding through non-political collegiality.
The benefits of the AFTK extend further to discounts on insurance, club software, direct debit systems, as well as access to dan gradings, the shared expertise of our instructors and members, and much more. The AFTK really does exist to serve its members.
We, as fellow passionate budoka, find exceptional benefit in associating with the AFTK and have always found a strong alignment with its values and the kindness of its members. It is for this reason that we have chosen to join and serve on the Management Committee, along with many other outstanding Committee Members.
Again, welcome to the AFTK website, and for those who may still be considering membership, I sincerely hope you will join us, and that you might also find the same benefit we have from this exceptional organisation. Yours in budo,
